Course Overview

As educators, we know that some students can struggle with communication, and some are particularly reluctant to speak in the classroom. We understand the importance of ensuring that all students feel comfortable and supported in the learning environment. This course is designed to equip teachers with the tools and strategies they need to help these students succeed. We'll explore the reasons behind why some student present as reluctant speakers or with selective mutism, as well as the various ways it can manifest in the school environment. By taking this course, your teachers will be equipped with practical strategies for promoting communication, building confidence, and reducing anxiety in these students. Ultimately, this course will help educators create a more inclusive and supportive classroom environment, where all students feel heard, valued, and empowered to learn.
