Why This Presentation Matters
Many schools are facing increasing concerns about how to teach consent, relationships, and online safety in a way that is age-appropriate, evidence-based, and aligned with real-world challenges.
Research shows that young people are being exposed to harmful content, including pornography, at increasingly younger ages. In a UK study by the Children’s Commissioner’s Office (2023), 50% of children who had seen pornography first encountered it by age 13, 27% by age 11, and 10% by age 9.
Without proper education, young people often turn to peers, social media, or pornography as their main sources of information about relationships and sex. The Youthwork Ireland Positive Sexual Relationships Report (2018) found that 90% of young people trust the internet for guidance on relationships, while 20% consider pornography a "useful" source of information on healthy relationships
Avoiding these conversations won’t prevent young people from encountering these issues—it only leaves them uninformed. Schools play a vital role in providing the right education at the right time.
This presentation delivers clear, age-appropriate, and trauma-informed guidance to help prevent harmful sexual behaviour and unintentional mistakes that could affect their future.
Let’s give young people knowledge, not confusion.
Course Content
This presentation is delivered in a safe, engaging, and age-appropriate manner, helping students navigate relationships, online safety, and personal responsibility while understanding the potential consequences of their actions.
- Understanding Consent – More than just "saying yes": age, capacity, intoxication, relationships, and the role of communication.
- Indecent Image Sharing – The risks of sharing intimate images, the legal implications, and digital responsibility.
- Sexual Harassment – Recognizing inappropriate behaviour, its impact on others, and the social and legal consequences.
- Pornography & Online Safety – Understanding the influence of online content on relationships, self-perception, and exposure to harmful or illegal material
This session is designed to inform and empower students using real-world examples, and relatable case studies that highlight the impact of their choices. Delivered with a trauma-informed approach, it ensures students feel supported, understand both the personal and legal implications of their actions, and know where to seek guidance if needed.
